My Northern Soul Sweet Chipotle Pork Burger - in YOUR kitchen!
We may have completely sold-out of our delicious burger for the VG Meats 50 Burger Days competition, but we are excited to share the recipe with you so that you can re-create this delicious masterpiece in your own kitchen!


(Makes 6 servings)
• 1 egg
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup (60mL) dry breadcrumbs
• 1/4 cup (60mL) diced red onions
• 1/2 cup (120mL) cooked, cooled, crumbled VG Bacon
• 2 tbsp (30mL) Northern Soul Sweet Chipotle BBQ Sauce
• 2 tsp (10mL) minced chipotle in adobo plus 1 tsp adobo sauce
• 1/4 tsp (1mL) pepper
• 1/4 tsp (1mL) salt
• 1 lb (454g) lean ground pork


1. Warm skillet over medium heat and fry bacon until crispy. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. When cool, crumble the bacon using your hands or a knife.
2. In bowl, beat egg; mix in garlic, breadcrumbs, onions, crumbled bacon, Northern Soul BBQ Sauce, chipotle and adobo sauce, salt and pepper. Mix-in pork; shape into six 3/4-inch (2cm) thick patties. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat; cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side or until no longer pink on the inside.

We recommend using a bit (or a lot) more Northern Soul sauce when your burger is nearly cooked. Top with a smokey cheese and some coleslaw for crunch and freshness. Oh, and you should probably top with more bacon! Enjoy!
